James Marsden Talks X-Men 4 & 5, Off Camera Death in X-Men 3

The first three X-Men films were incredibly successful, if not always universally loved. And while X-Men: First Class is technically a part of that franchise, it also exists on its own – separate from Wolverine, Cyclops and bad-wig-wearing Storm.
It was recently announced that Fox was actively developing X-Men 4 and 5, perhaps to be directed by Bryan Singer. Now, the man who played Cyclops, James Marsden (Hop), is talking about whether or not he wants to participate in the sequels and how he felt about his death in Brett Ratner’s X-Men: The Last Stand.
On the subject of whether or not he would like to take part in the new X-Men sequels, Marsden said in his interview with Movie Line:
“Yeah, I would love to! Honestly, ...

‘The Expendables 2′ Snags An Official Release Date
0
The followup to last year’s ’80s action mashup, The Expendables 2, is now officially slated for theatrical release almost two years exactly after its predecessor shot, cut, slashed, smashed, and whatever-other-past-tense-violent-verb-you-can-think-of its way into theaters.
Lionsgate has settled on August 17th, 2012 as the day of release for Expendables 2, just a week after another explosion-and-action friendly blockbuster sequel, GI Joe 2, arrives on the scene.
Sylvester Stallone will be back as intrepid Expendables leader Barney Ross in front of the camera, but looks to hand over the directorial reins to someone else on the sequel. Ross’ fellow mercenaries – including Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Toll Road (Randy Couture), and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) – are all expected to return as well.
Former ’80s and ’90s action stars including Jean-Claude Van Damme aim ...

Dario Argento’s Suspiria (1977) is largely considered to be one of the best horror films of all time, and rightly so. I know, right? You’re Netflixing this thing already, aren’t you?
As with almost every horror movie I’ve ever loved – Psycho, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Halloween – there’s a remake on the way, this time courtesy of writer/director David Gordon Green (Your Highness). Green recently talked about the remake, revealing that he wants to ...

Today’s batch of news concerns two upcoming animated titles from Walt Disney Pictures: Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. prequel, which was recently confirmed to be titled Monsters University, and this summer’s traditionally-animated Winnie the Pooh.
Disney has officially announced that Monsters University will be directed by Dan Scanlon, who previously worked as a story artist on Pixar films like Toy Story 3, and helmed the Cars-related short “Mater and the Ghostlight”. He’ll make his animated feature-length directorial debut with the Monsters Inc. prequel.
Word has also gotten out that actress/singer/songwriter Zooey Deschanel has recorded three songs for Disney’s upcoming Winnie the Pooh, including her own version of the original theme song for the bear of very little brain. Deschanel is best known for her indie roots, with respect to both her filmography (500 Days of Summer, Almost Famous) ...

Considering the marketing storm – more like hurricane – that was unleashed by Paramount leading up to Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen‘s release date, it’s been a relatively quiet marketing blitz for Michael Bay’s third Robot v. Robot film, Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
Of course we still have plenty of time for our faces to be stuffed with trailers, TV Spots, and plot details from Dark of the Moon, as well as the plethora of promises from cast, director and crew that this third installment will be the best yet.
If today is any indication, the Transformers 3 marketing machine is slowly grinding into gear: We have not one, but two things related to the film to share with you today.
First are three new Dark ...
