Despite being one of the more powerful superheroes in the Marvel Universe, Doctor Strange – otherwise known as The Sorcerer Supreme – is definitely one of the lesser known comic book characters, at least to the general public.
Still, Strange has his share of devoted fans, including Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey (who also has a role in the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon). According to Dempsey, he has been lobbying for the titular role in any Dr. Strange film or TV show.
For those unaware, Doctor Stephen Strange used to be a world-renowned and utterly arrogant neurosurgeon who cared more about making money than saving lives. After a car accident irrevocably ruined his hands for performing surgery, ...

Still cringing at the sight of Adrianne Palicki in the Wonder Woman costume? Maybe these action shots from the set will help persuade you.
The new series of photos presumably come from Wonder Woman‘s Hollywood filming locale, at a mall or other indoor location. The photos show Wonder Woman leaning over and injecting a fallen enemy with a hypodermic needle. There’s very little context beyond that, though we do know that collapsed actor is Joseph Gatt, who will be playing John O’Quinn in the pilot.
There’s a few more revealing shots of Palicki’s costume, particularly the new-and improved boots, the back of the costume and the lasso. You can also see some of the detail work on Wonder Woman’s bucklers; note the stylized “W” running around the band.
The more controlled lighting ...

The episode opens up as classical antagonist Morgan (Eva Green, Casino Royale) attempts to re-enter the hall of King Uther. Her father disowns her for disgracing his new queen, Igraine (Claire Forlani). Morgan disguises herself to enter a feast in the hall and poisons Uther, immediately calling his rival King Lot for an alliance to quickly usurp the throne.
Meanwhile, Merlin (Joseph Fiennes, FlashForward, Shakespeare In Love) rushes to the countryside. He finds a peasant’s son, Arthur (Jamie Campbell Bower, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), and assures him that he ...

Detractors of Zack Snyder’s most CGI-saturated films – for example, Sucker Punch – will no doubt be wondering how the man plans to handle the more unreal elements in Superman: Man of Steel (and more specifically, the gravity-defying, super strong, nigh-on invulnerable character of Superman).
Because Sucker Punch was just released, Zack Snyder has been talking left and right about the forthcoming Man of Steel and what he plans to do with it, going so far as to call it his “most realistic film” yet. Recently, Snyder discussed how he plans to handle the man of steel himself with regard to visual effects.
Cinema Spy asked Snyder -- perhaps due to the revelation ...

Finally today, BBC America have unleashed a U.S. promo for the upcoming new season of "Doctor Who". It certainly lacks the raw epic film trailer stylings of the UK trailer earlier this week, opting for a more conventional almost Syfy-esque approach. Still, it's mostly new footage though which is worth a gander:
