"Avatar 2" Delayed Two Years To 2016
0Are you keenly anticipating the "Avatar" sequels? You're going to have to wait a little longer - two years longer than previously anticipated according to EntertainmentWise.
Speaking at a screening for "Titanic 3D", Producer Jon Landau confirmed it would be a good wait before we return to Pandora - "We are excitedly working on it as we speak and it will be four or so years before it will be out"
This would seem to push back the release of the second film to 2016, quite a jump from the December 2014 & 2015 dates for the two sequels that were previously being targeted.
Landau is confident however it'll be a better film than the first - “We are excited and we have a lot of the same team working with us, some great design and ideas and some great themes hopefully.”

Disney is continuing its long-gestating plans to develop Australian author Matthew Reilly's young adult book series "Hover Car Racer" reports Heat Vision.
The "Speed Racer"-esque story follows Jason Chaser, a young student who races in the dangerous and cutthroat world of hover car racing with his vehicle the Argonaut and his nerdy younger best friend and technician Bug.
There's also a lot of school class scenes set around the training school on the island of Tasmania which has been privatised, and the buildup to four 'Grand Slam' races held in London, Sydney, New York City and across Italy.

Now, "X2" and "Superman Returns" co-scribe Dan Harris has come onboard to work on the script which the studio has been trying to tackle since 2004. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are producing.

Fun fact: Movie theaters have a lot of input into when they want to sell tickets to films showing in their theaters.
After the success of The Dark Knight Rises IMAX prologue, which previewed before Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, some theaters apparently thought that they could continue the momentum of the high ticket sales motivated by Dark Knight Rises fandom, by selling advance tickets to the actual premiere of the film this upcoming summer. With still half a year to go until its official July 20th release date, The Dark Knight Rises has already sold out the IMAX midnight premieres in both the AMC Loews Lincoln Square theater in NYC, and all but two handicap slots at the AMC CityWalk ...
