Supernatural - Castiel & Bobby

It’s been a tough season for Supernatural fans. On top of losing one fan-favorite character in the season premiere (Castiel, played by Misha Collins), viewers also had to watch as the series’ proverbial patriarch, Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver), was given a choice of either dying peacefully or sticking around to become a ghost.

Thankfully, whatever Bobby’s decision turned out to be (we still have to find out), executive producer Robert Singer revealed that “he’ll be back in one form or another.” What does that mean? Well, when it comes to Supernatural, anything is possible (and probable).

Of course, if Singer’s ambiguity isn’t enough to have you excited about Bobby’s return “in one form or another, showrunner Sera Gamble details what would happen, based on the decision Bobby made:

american reunion movie international trailer

One thing you can always count on from the American Pie franchise (even the direct-to-DVD installments) is that raunchy gags and crude humor will always be offered in copious amounts. That’s certainly the case with the latest theatrical entry in the series, titled American Reunion.

The American Reunion red band teaser amounted to an excerpt from what is surely just one of several R-Rated comedy setups in the film, while the safe-for-work teaser provided a better mix of heart and humor. Today, we have an international trailer that features more naughty jokes in all their adults-only glory.

American Reunion picks up in quasi-real time with the original American Pie characters, who are now all grown up and “mature,” but also ready to cut loose and be wild once more, when their 10-year high school reunion rolls around. That ...

adrien brody detachment movie trailer

An inspirational drama about a dedicated teacher helping their students and becoming a better person in the process, is a tried-and-true Hollywood product (see: Stand and Deliver, Lean on Me, Dangerous Minds, Freedom Writers, etc.). There’s also the rare entry in that sub-genre that thankfully doesn’t wrap things up in quite so tidy a bow by the end, a la Half Nelson.

Detachment, an upcoming film written by newcomer Carl Lund and directed by Tony Kaye (American History X) looks to be one of those rare gems that takes a more uncompromising look at the hardships of the teaching profession – and just how difficult it is for an instructor to reach their troubled students (and vice versa).

Oscar-winner Adrien Brody (The Pianist, King Kong) headlines Detachment as Henry Barthes, an emotionally closed-off substitute teacher who is well fit ...

Navy Seal movie Act of Valor

The $30 million Navy SEAL flick Act of Valor ended up being in production for over two years, thanks to the frequently-busy schedule of its main cast, which is primarily composed of legitimate active-duty SEALS. Moviegoers will soon get to see the results of directors Mike “Mouse” McCoy and Scott Waugh’s efforts when the actual film is released in theaters.

Today, we have a new TV spot for Act of Valor, as well as a five-minute long featurette that offers a better look at the overall filmmaking style of the project, along with the hazardous locations, up-to-date Navy technology/vehicles, and physically-exhausting combat maneuvers on display in the movie.

Act of Valor was scripted by Kurt Johnstad (300) and is reportedly based on several real-life incidents involving ...

Immediately following his win at the 2012 Golden Globes ceremony, ubiquitous fan-favorite Idris Elba was hit up by journalists wanting to know more about his upcoming film schedule, which could possibly include both Marvel’s Thor 2 and The Avengers, as well as the James Bond franchise somewhere down the road (if rumor mongering is anything to go by).

Elba is currently back in Toronto, where he’s working on filmmaker Guillermo del Toro’s anticipated sci-fi/giant monster movie, Pacific Rim. However, before he departed the Globes event, the English actor dropped a few tidbits about which upcoming movies he will for certain show up in – as well as which ones remain possibilities.
