Screen Rant’s Kofi Outlaw Reviews The Woman in Black
In The Woman in Black we find Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe taking on a more adult supernatural tale, about a vengeful ghost that haunts a small town in the English countryside.
When widower lawyer Arthur Kipps (Radcliffe) is dispatched to the east coast town of Crythin Gifford to settle the affairs of the late Mrs. Alice Drablow, he goes knowing the task is his last chance to prove to his boss that grief hasn’t crippled his ability to work. It’s that same perseverance that keeps Arthur going when he begins to notice the trend of strange occurrences happening in and around Crythin Gifford: children locked in their houses like prisoners, townspeople treating him as if he ...

‘Evil Dead’ Remake: Casting Update & First Set Photo [Updated]

A Sam Raimi-approved Evil Dead remake is coming, whether fans like it or not. This particular recycling of a beloved cult classic is very much embracing Hollywood’s “darker and grittier” remake creed, by abandoning the mix of over-the-top gore and Three Stooges-style comedy from Raimi’s original film(s), in favor of a dead-serious supernatural horror flick, with Ichi the Killer levels of violence.
Today, we have news about the film’s male lead role (who is not Ash) being filled, along with a “set photo” released by the new Evil Dead‘s director, Fede Alvarez, which shows off “the path to hell” in the movie.
Variety has the scoop on Shiloh Fernandez landing the male lead role in the new Evil Dead. He’ll be playing the part of David, a young man who attempts to wean his ...

You may or not have thought that Insidious was the scariest movie of last year (I certainly did), but after earning nearly $100 million on a measly $1.5 million budget, there’s no denying that it was one of the most profitable.
Second only to the ridiculously successful Paranormal Activity 3 (which earned over $200 million worldwide), director James Wan’s throwback horror film was a big hit with audiences and immediately spurred conversation about a possible sequel.
Last summer, Insidious producer Jason Blum briefly talked about a sequel, but said that the creative team (Wan and writer Leigh Whannell) would only be interested if they could come with a story worth telling. Now it looks like the pair may indeed be back for Insidious 2.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wan and Whannell (who also co-created the Saw ...
