Akiva Goldsman, Overbrook Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures have closed a deal for a follow-up to 2007 sci-fi hit "I Am Legend" reports Deadline.
Following the $584 million worldwide gross of 'Legend', talk quickly swirled of a possible prequel for a while before the buzz died down.
Now though it has picked up steam again with Arash Amel penning the script and Will Smith likely to reprise his role as scientist Robert Neville - the last man on earth doing battle with the mutated mobs left after a virus wiped out the population.
Despite the previous rumours this will apparently NOT be a prequel, and Smith won’t commit until the script is ready. There's also the little issue of his character's fate at the end of the first film to be worked out.
Screen Rant’s Kofi Outlaw Reviews Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
In Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance we catch up to Johnny Blaze (Nic Cage) many years after the events of the first film. “The Rider” has apparently grown into an all-consuming force of nature that Blaze desperately tries to hold in check; until the presence of evil inevitably sets The Rider loose again, to feed on the souls of the guilty.
The Rider is presented with a full buffet of evildoers when a group of ruthless mercenaries storm a church in pursuit of a young boy named Danny Ketch (Fergus Riordan), who The Devil (Ciarán Hinds) intends to use as his human vessel. Blaze claims that The Rider is no savior, but when warrior monk Moreau (Idris Elba) ...

It’s a sad day for the kids of Degrassi, as it was reported that Neil Hope, the actor that played the lovably troubled Derek ‘Wheels’ Wheeler on the cult Canadian television series, passed away in 2007. What’s even more unfortunate is that his family and friends were unaware of his death until just last month, almost 5 years after it happened.
Making Hope’s death public this past week, police confirmed that Hope died of natural causes in Hamilton, Ontario on November 25, 2007. He was 35 at the time of his passing.
While Hope’s brother and sister have said that they heard rumors of his passing 3 years ago, they simple brushed it off, as there had been no official confirmation. After not hearing from Hope for a significant length of time, the family contacted the Hamilton ...

Michael Fassbender ("Shame," "X-Men: First Class") has developed and will take the lead in "Irish Myths" for Finn McCool Films says Screen Daily.
Ronan Bennett ("Public Enemies") penned the script which will have Fassbender playing Cuchulain, the central hero of the Ulster Cycle (aka. Red Branch Cycle) - one of the four branches of Irish mythology.
A director is not yet locked. Fassbender and Bennett will likely produce.
Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman won’t be the first retelling of the Grimm fairy tale to hit theaters in 2012 (that honor goes to Mirror Mirror) but the former’s darkly fantastical, action-packed spin on the story already has many moviegoers excited to see this new iteration of the famous princess fable.
Huntsman stars Kristen Stewart as Snow White, who is “destined” to become the most beautiful woman in a faraway kingdom. That does not sit well with Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron), the (literally) iron-clawed sorceress obsessed with maintaing a youthful exterior. When the queen’s enchanted mirror informs her that she can achieve immortality by consuming Snow White’s heart, Ravenna forces a widower huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) to track down and kill the renegade princess. That plan backfires when Snow’s would-be killer instead trains her in the art of combat.
