Season 5 of AMC’s highly-rated period drama kicks off this spring, having been gone from the airwaves for almost a year and a half while the studios that own and produce the show did battle with AMC TV and series creator Matthew Wiener in a highly-publicized board room brawl. However, with that unseemly business now behind us, we are once again free to delight in all the scandal and drama that Mad Men delivers so well.

And, judging from the Mad Men season 5 teaser trailer, a mix of scandal, drama and Draper will still be the cocktail the show serves in its new season.

Our latest report details those awards handed out by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) this past Sunday in Los Angeles.

The WGA Awards are notoriously fickle about what they except for awards consideration, so, while The Artist is currently the big frontrunner for Oscars glory, the fact that it was written and directed by a French filmmaker put it out of consideration for a WGA(merica) award. Ironically enough, that left Woody Allen’s dark-horse Oscar contender Midnight in Paris as ...
