People in the mood for some laughs amidst all the explosions and action – which this summer’s crop of blockbusters will surely bring – may find what they’re looking for in Neighborhood Watch: a flick which unites such comedic heavyweights as Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill, and Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd) together in a film scripted by the writing duo of Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen (Superbad, Pineapple Express, The Green Hornet).
A teaser trailer has been released for Neighborhood Watch, and it only hints at the wacky antics its cast of funny men will be getting up to in the name of “keeping the peace.” However, there is one pivotal plot element which is not even alluded to here (more on that in a moment).
Neighborhood Watch revolves around a pack ...

‘Piranha 3DD’ Trailer: Second Course of Guilty Pleasure
0
There are those who enjoyed the guilty pleasure that was Piranha 3D and have been waiting on an even bigger mouthful of chum with Piranha 3DD (pronounced ‘Piranha Three-Double-D’ by the way), the sequel film that has been delayed from its release date and dumped straight-to-DVD in certain overseas markets (sorry UK).
We got a teaser trailer for Piranha 3DD back in the fall, and it looked about as ridiculous as you would think, and probably even more so. Ving Rhames had a shotgun for a leg (’nuff said). Today’s full-length Piranha 3DD trailer pretty much equals its predecessor in terms of quality – only, you know, with more story (or at least what passes for one).

Wahlberg & Foster Look to Join Kitsch in Peter Berg’s ‘Lone Survivor’

Peter Berg reportedly (unofficially) struck a deal with Universal Pictures back in 2010, so that he would first direct the studio’s Battleship board game movie adaptation before moving ahead with his preferred armed forces movie of choice: Lone Survivor, an adaptation of the non-fiction book by former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell.
Now that the aforementioned Hasbro board game-based project is all ready to set sail (pun intended) in theaters this summer, Berg is turning his attention to Lone Survivor. He’s long been planning to re-team with Battleship star Taylor Kitsch on the film; now, reports are in that A-lister Mark Wahlberg and popular character actor Ben Foster (The Messenger) have likewise begun negotiations to star in Berg’s adaptation.
Luttrell’s original book is fully-titled “Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost ...

Russell Crowe Officially In Talks For Aronofsky’s ‘Noah’
0
For a while there it seemed as though Russell Crowe could be starring in… well, everything.
The Oscar-winning actor (and professional musician) has recently been linked to the RoboCop reboot, Darren Aronofsky’s Noah retelling, and Oscar-winner Akiva Goldsman’s Winter’s Tale adaptation. All that was on top of his already set-in-stone upcoming film slate, which includes roles in RZA’s The Man with the Iron Fists, Allen Hughes’ Broken City, Tom Hooper’s Les Misérables musical adaptation, AND a part as Superman’s biological father in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel.
While the RoboCop rumor was quickly denied by Crowe, it has now been confirmed that the actor is indeed in negotiations to portray the namesake of Noah. The $130 million Biblical blockbuster drama will be based on the graphic novel created by Aronofsky and Ari Handel (The Fountain) ...
