‘Doctor Who’ Alum Cast In ‘Sex and the City’ Prequel

After an extensive search, The Carrie Diaries found its leading lady last month, and now the Sex and the City prequel rounds out its cast with the characters that helped turned the small town country girl into the Prada princess.
Former Doctor Who companion Freema Agyeman is trading in her TARDIS keys for ones to the penthouse, by landing a supporting role on The CW’s pilot, The Carrie Diaries. Agyeman will portray young Carrie Bradshaw’s (AnnaSophia Robb) mentor Larissa, who is described as a cool cutting-edge editor for Interview Magazine – an editor who is also not stranger to partying hard. Larissa will help the newly-planted Carrie navigate through ‘80s Manhattan, while helping the budding writer hone her craft.
