Leonard Nimoy To Appear On ‘The Big Bang Theory’

After announcing his retirement last year (and breaking Trekkie’s hearts everywhere), actor Leonard Nimoy has agreed to appear on CBS’s hit series The Big Bang Theory – well, sort of.
On March 29th, the sci-fi-legend will appear in an episode during one of Sheldon’s dreams. Unfortunately, Nimoy’s cameo comes with one slight hitch: we won’t actually see him onscreen. Instead, Nimy’s appearance will be following in the same vein as his other recent roles, with the actor appearing via voice-over only.
Though he may have been on the top of the producers’ wish list, Nimoy is just the latest in a string of Star Trek alumni to appear on the CBS geek comedy. Previously, the series also featured cameos from Star Trek: The Next Generation’s LeVar Burton and Brent Spiner, as well as original cast member George Takei. ...

‘Avengers’ Images: Cobie Smulders as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Maria Hill

While such S.H.I.E.L.D. agents as the costumed Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) – not to mention, everyone’s favorite straight-laced agent, Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) – have shown up in the Marvel flicks which laid the groundwork for this summer’s The Avengers, there’s one important S.H.I.E.L.D. employee who’ll make her live-action debut in the film: Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders).
We’ve previously only gotten a fuzzy glimpse of Smulders as Agent Hill from an Avengers promotional banner – not to mention, her brief and wordless cameo in the second Avengers trailer (see the header image) – but today, we finally have an official high-resolution look at Smulders “in character” as her S.H.I.E.L.D. agent alter ego.

Universal’s 3D feature film adaption of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is actually the second time the beloved writer’s story has been brought to the screen – the first time being an animated short that premiered on TV back in 1972. In that 40-year span between Lorax adaptations, the issue of environmental preservation has continued to rage, and so the tale is (unfortunately) as relevant today as it was decades ago.
