‘Bill & Ted 3′ Script Done, Said to be Excellent

Sorry about that title…couldn’t resist.
In April 2011 we got two big pieces of Bill & Ted 3 news from the respective stars who play the titular characters: First Keanu Reeves (Ted) said a script was in the works; a few weeks later, Alex Winter (Bill) said that the first draft was done, and that it was good. Since then, we’ve heard very little on the project…until now.
Read on for what both Bill (Winter) & Ted (Reeves) are saying now about how Bill & Ted 3 is shaping up.
The following quote from Keanu Reeves was pulled from The Independent:
“Yeah, we have a script. We’re trying to put it together. It’s a good script too.”

Elizabeth Olsen Won’t Reveal ‘Old Boy’ Ending

You don’t hear people referring to actress Elizabeth Olsen as ‘the other Olsen sister’ much anymore. After an impressive breakout performance in last year’s indie darling Martha Marcy May Marlene, Olsen has a slate of upcoming films ready to hit theaters in 2012, starting with this weekend’s “single-shot” horror/thriller, Silent House.
The newbie starlet isn’t waiting on fame to just come, however; she’s already gearing up for a big 2013, including a starring role in Spike Lee’s Old Boy re-interpretation, which she is sworn not discuss in detail yet.

Sony Acquires Acclaimed Sundance Flick ‘Smashed’

One of the titles that managed to leave an impression on those who attended the 2012 Sundance Film Festival – and snagged a Special Jury Prize for its efforts – is Smashed, a dark dramedy which stars such fan-favorites as Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The Thing) and Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) as a young couple who are essentially bonded over their mutual alcoholism and affection for getting… well, smashed.
Sony Pictures Classics has been circling the distribution rights to Smashed for the past month; the studio has finally gone ahead and purchased said rights (for the sum of $1 million), as is detailed in a new official press release.
