The Avengers promotional campaign is, at this point, threatening to go into overload mode. Stroll through the Internet these days and you’ll find a lot of fans who are starting to back away from any new trailers, TV spots, clips or featurettes about Marvel’s blockbuster superhero teamup, lest they see too much, too soon.
Then again, there are aspects of The Avengers that we could all stand to see more of – and one of those is undoubtedly The Hulk.
If you haven’t read our collection of Avengers cast interviews, you may have missed actor Mark Ruffalo talking about his role as Bruce Banner / The Hulk, and just where this Avengers team-up event finds the character in terms of development.
The Expendables was an unprecedented movie event in that it collected some of the biggest action stars in film (and/or sports entertainment) for a drag-out, blood-spattering, action flick orgy of violence and one-liners. Despite the kick of having stars like Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Randy Couture, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in one movie, it was hard not to notice those stars who passed on the opportunity.
After the success of the first installment, we saw action movie icons like Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme reverse their initial decisions and join what will hopefully be Con Air director Simon West’s superior sequel, The Expendables 2. But even with that increased level of badassery, one name has still been notably absent ...

The original cast of the outrageous, generation-defining comedy American Pie will reunite after nearly a ten year absence so that audiences may once again connect and check in with Jim, Michelle, Stifler, Finch and the gang. American Reunion finds the group of misfits well into their respective adult lives and all that that implies: marriage, kids, mortgages and for some, less-than-amazing bosses.
But it is more than the kids of the class of 99′ who gained our hearts when the first film was released. No, both Stifler’s Mom (the lovely and hilarious Jennifer Coolidge) and Jim’s Dad (the wonderful Eugene Levy) are just as indelible as all of the other characters in the series. Coolidge, who was paid scale (roughly $700 a day at the time) for American Pie could never have imaged that her brief appearance would ...

Between all the talk about Taylor Kitsch pulling double-duty with John Carter and the upcoming Battleship, it’s easy to forget that the Friday Night Lights alum will actually grace the big screen a third time this year – with Savages, director Oliver Stone’s adaptation of the critically-acclaimed (and best-selling) Don Winslow novel, which sees Kitsch play one-third of a love triangle that includes Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson and Gossip Girl‘s Blake Lively.
The newly-unveiled trailer for Savages suggests the crime drama/thriller could be somewhat of a return to the uninhibited tone and frenetic style of Stone’s films in the ’90s (JFK, Natural Born Killers, Any Given Sunday) – rather than the comparatively calmer and more collected approach, which has defined much of the often-controversial auteur’s work in the 21st century.
Check out an official synopsis for Savages, ...

In December, Marvel Studios adjusted their schedule of release dates for 2014 by moving their June time slot to and odd pre-summer date of early April. As we just found out from Disney today, that early April weekend is reserved for Captain America 2.
When actor Neal McDonough said a sequel to Captain America: The First Avenger could begin shooting as early as this year, he wasn’t joking. Read on for details and a brand new still from The Avengers!
The Avengers is done and will hit theaters in four weeks to kick off the summer movie season. Later that month, Iron Man 3 begins production and either during or just after, Thor 2 will also enter principal photography so they can both release next year.
