0

At this point in time, studios are churning out any and all promotions they have for their summer tentpoles. TV spots, last minute trailers, and for the Internet savvy, featurettes. A new featurette for Brave has gone online.

Previous trailers for Brave have detailed the plot of the movie, but in this latest featurette, we are getting a profile of Princess Merida (voiced by Kelly Macdonald), who candidly describes the difficulties of juggling life as a princess and wanting to be a free spirit. However, her wish to be free from the restrictions of her mother and castle life unintentionally casts an evil curse on the kingdom.

The featurette not only focuses on the characteristics of the film’s heroine, it also shows her off her beauty and is a testament to the fact that living as royalty may ...

With that kind of clout behind the words, it wasn’t long before a director became attached to the project – and said director just so happens to be Sir Ridley Scott (Prometheus). With those two big names working together on a project, a list of interested stars was inevitable.

The Counselor has already locked in Michael Fassbender (Prometheus, X-Men: First Class) as its lead, playing a respectable lawyer who tries to ‘dip a toe’ in the drug business and ends up sucked down into the ...

Series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss raised our expectations for the second season – and then surpassed them. We are thrilled by all the viewer and media support we’ve received for the series, and can’t wait to see what Dan and David have in store for next season.

After Game ...

Total Recall Japanese Trailer

Total Recall continues to be a mixed bag, as far as the general public is concerned. Some people are impressed with the action-packed futuristic world that Die Hard 4 director Len Wiseman has created; while others are still pining for the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger action film.

Today we have the Japanese trailer for Total Recall to share, which plays up more of the sci-fi futuristic angle, and less of the eye candy provided by leading ladies Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale.

Check out the Japanese trailer for Total Recall:

Michael Fassbender and Steve McQueen working on Twelve Years a Slave

New Regency is in talks to co-finance and distribute Steve McQueen’s adaptation of the Solomon Northup’s memoir ‘Twelve Years a Slave’.

Michael Fassbender and Steve McQueen make quite the team, especially after last year – when they made the very raw and very powerful film Shame. Both Fassbender and McQueen were praised for their performances and directing, respectively and when Shame was gathering critical steam, McQueen was already lining up to direct his next feature, an adaptation of Solomon Northup’s memoir Twelve Years a Slave.

Deadline reports that New Regency is in negotiations to co-finance and distribute the film, which sees Chiwetel Ejiofor play Northup, Fassbender as a plantation owner, and Brad Pitt in the role of a Northern lawyer who helps free Northup. Pitt’s Plan B production ...
