‘Area 407′ Trailer: Don’t Crash Land in Jurassic Park
0Found footage is still trending in the horror movie world, as evidenced by today’s trailer for Area 407, a film by directors Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin. The premise (as thoroughly laid out by the trailer) is that a group of people on a flight crash land into a secret government testing ground, where they are hunted down by some mysterious predator(s?).
Unless this film has some kind of twist up its sleeve (and I wouldn’t bet on that), this basically looks like a mix of The Grey and Jurassic Park - only not nearly as good as either of those films. I mean, it honestly seems – judging by the footage in this trailer – like these people have landed smack dab in the middle of the ...

New ‘Lone Ranger’ Images: Tonto & Ranger Meets Navajo Leaders
0It’s going to be interesting to see what Johnny Depp and Gore Verbinski have in store for Lone Ranger. From day one the director/star duo – who’ve worked together on the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy and the animated film Rango - have stated their intention to offer audiences a twist on the classic tropes and stereotypes of old west films; and as stated, it’s going to be interesting to see just what that new vision is.
Depp (who plays the titular lawman’s iconic Native American sidekick, Tonto) has been particularly vocal about his desire to do something different with how Native Americans are portrayed onscreen, and the set of Lone Ranger photos you’ll see today feature Depp (as Tonto) meeting with prominent members of the Navajo Nation where filming is currently taking place.
Check out Depp as Tonto and actor Armie Hammer as the Lone Ranger, posing ...

‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ Images & International Poster [Updated]
0[UPDATE: IMAGES HAVE BEEN REMOVED BY STUDIO REQUEST]
Those of you who have been keeping up with Universal’s marketing for Snow White and the Huntsman likely need no more convincing that this “dark and edgy” re-imagining of a timeless story will at least look fantastic – what with its stylishly textured scenery and expressive costumes, not to mention its gruffly handsome male leads and lovely female leads (passing over complaints about Kristen Stewart’s appearance in Twilight, that is).
All the same, the studio has released even more promotional imagery – along with a slick international one-sheet – for its epic fantasy spin on this centuries-old fairy tale. It’s worth having a look, even for those of you who’ve ...

Vince Vaughn To Star In ‘Rockford Files’ Reboot
0
Universal Pictures is developing a big screen reboot of the classic James Garner television series The Rockford Files for star Vince Vaughn.
David Levien and Brian Koppelman (who penned the recently announced Runner, Runner) will script the film, with Vaughn and his sister Victoria producing through their Wild West Picture Show production company.
The Rockford Files was an Emmy Award-winning detective series about a down-on-his-luck private detective with a copper Firebird, who lived in a caravan on the Californian beach. His low-level cases were often dangerous, and sometimes he would work the case without getting paid (despite his best efforts). He was helped out by his over-protective father, his con-man friend Angel and the exasperated Detective Dennis Becker.
The show, created by ...
