It will be interesting to see how exactly the Marvel movie universe changes in the aftermath of The Avengers. The next film in line following Joss Whedon’s superhero extravaganza, Iron Man 3 already looks to set a precedent by tackling a famous comic book storyline that not only breaks away from the narrative format of previous Marvel Studio efforts – but would also force the Tony Stark character (Robert Downey Jr.) to literally evolve.

RIP Dick Clark, Dead at 82

It’s a sad day in the world of television as Dick Clark, “America’s Oldest Teenager,” passed away this morning at the age of 82.

According to Clark’s representative, the famed television icon suffered a massive heart attack this morning, following an outpatient procedure Clark underwent last night.

Over the course of Clark’s amazing 66 year-long career, he is credited with producing 170 television series, many of which he himself hosted. Clark’s Career began in 1945 by working in the mail room of WRUN at the age of 16. Two years later, he was an on air announcer.

While employed as a disc jockey at the radio station WFIL in 1952, Clark got his first break on television when he was asked to serve as a regular substitute host on Bob Horn’s Bandstand, which was later renamed American Bandstand after Clark was brought ...

‘Beware the Batman’ Trailer Recalls ‘Batman: The Animated Series’

Beware the Batman will be the fifth animated Batman series since, well, Batman: The Animated Series in 1992, but it’s the first to employ the much-maligned CG animation recently utilized in Green Lantern: The Animated Series.

While we’ve previously seen two teaser posters – one more preliminary, the other more official – today we’re finally getting our first look at footage in the form of a teaser trailer.

The thing that immediately stands out about the trailer is its blatant resemblance to the aforementioned Batman: The Animated Series. Computer-generated imagery aside, the dark, moody aesthetic (vaguely akin to “dark deco“) and the tall, thin, and elegant font are both quite clearly an attempt at harkening back to that beloved series ...
