Just as The Avengers did earlier this year, The Dark Knight Rises has begun to make headlines on an almost daily basis – with just under two months left until Christopher Nolan’s climactic Batman movie hits theaters.
Warner Bros. spent the past week showering fans with Dark Knight Rises posters, character one-sheets, TV spots, and domestic banners. Today, we add to the DKR paraphernalia pile with two international character banners, a “secret” poster with femme fatale Catwoman (or, rather, her high-heel), and some plot details revealed in the synopsis for a children’s tie-in book – about the relationship between Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) and Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway).

Bryan Fuller’s Hannibal TV series will premiere on NBC in the foreseeable future. However, Lifetime has already begun development on another television show that will be centered around a famous character from Thomas Harris’ literature: FBI agent Clarice Starling.
MGM is producing the latter series, which is titled Clarice. The project is backed by Lifetime head honcho Nancy Dubuc (executive producer of The Kennedys), with the intention to replicate the success of Jennifer Love Hewittt’s The Client List – as another actress-headlined series on the channel.
According to TV Guide, Clarice will chronicle the experiences of its namesake after she has her first encounter with Hannibal “The Cannibal” Lecter and graduates from FBI academy. Galifianakis joins A Confederacy of Dunces, Wilson, Wilde and Larson go Nuts for Bogdanovich; Segal boards a Diesel powered Machine, and Bradley Cooper takes aim at American Sniper.
1. The Hangover star Zach Galifianakis may be the one to finally bring John Kennedy Toole’s Pulitzer Prize–winning novel, A Confederacy of Dunces to the screen.
The long-gestating adaptation has been on and off for over thirty years with the likes of John Belushi, John Candy Chris Farley and (most recently) Will Ferrell attached to the role of Ignatius J. Reilly.
The Muppets director James Bobin looks set to direct the film which will be scripted by Phil Johnston and produced by Scott Rudin.
It might be a little early to start cracking open the champagne, but the signs are looking Reilly good.

Produce Oren Peli has become a well known entity in the horror world over the last several years. He is the writer/director of the original Paranormal Activity and the producer behind the remainder of the franchise.
Additionally, he’s gone on to produce several other terror-filled offerings including Insidious, upcoming The Lords of Salem and television’s The River. His latest film Chernobyl Diaries, which opens in theaters this weekend, is set in the city of Prypiat that once housed the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor. The chiller follows a group of friends who sign up for an “extreme tour” through the abandoned city while vacationing in Europe – only to find themselves stranded where they are not so alone after all.
