‘Prometheus’ Scribe Damon Lindelof to Rewrite ‘World War Z’
0
The World War Z movie adaptation has traveled a pothole-ridden road on its journey to the big screen. Things started off rough as the project lingered in pre-production limbo for around two and a half years, before (nearly) falling apart due to a lack of funding. However, financiers like Skydance Productions (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol) finally stepped in, preventing the WWZ movie from suffering a complete collapse – and pushing it on down the production pipeline, towards a Winter 2012 theatrical release.
WWZ was then delayed until Summer 2013, which did not (initially) seem like a big deal; that is, until recently, when reports emerged that the film will undergo a substantial seven extra weeks of photography.
Heat Vision has provided further confirmation that World War Z is having issues, with ...

0
Ridley Scott’s “return to the Alien universe” in Prometheus has been the subject of unimaginable speculation ever since the film was revealed to tell a related story – as opposed to serving as an outright prequel. For months cinephiles have poured over Prometheus trailers and set images hoping for a clear picture of where, exactly, the highly-anticipated film would fit into the iconic story of the xenomorphs. Fortunately, the Prometheus marketing has been (for the most part) pretty subtle – flashing a variety of mysterious and tense shots entirely out of context – leaving speculators with little information to analyze.
Now that Prometheus (read our review) has officially been released, information about the secretive production has come flooding in – and we have a much clearer picture of how Prometheus is connected to ...

New ‘Dredd’ Poster & Images: Judgement is Coming
0Word is still out as to whether or not the Judge Dredd reboot Dredd is going to be a worthwhile endeavor. The cast looks promising, led by up-and-coming actor Karl Urban (RED, Star Trek) as the titular Judge Dredd, who will battle it out against Game of Thrones star, Lena Headey as a ruthless gang leader. Also along for the fun is under-the-radar actress, Olivia Thirlby (Juno, No Strings Attached), who will play Dredd’s young ward for a day of mayhem and bloodshed.
However, while the cast looks solid, director Pete Travis (Vantage Point) is a less encouraging sign for the film – and news that Travis walked from the project during post-production has been a big red flag on our radar.
Still, it can be said that in this rebooted version, Judge Dredd and the world of Mega City One he inhabits do look closer to the 2000 ...

Darren Aronofsky has the pick of the crop when it comes to actors and actresses for his big-budget take on the famous Biblical story, Noah. Oscar-winner Russell Crowe is onboard to portray the titular prophet, who God charges with a divine mission: construct an enormous Ark, so as to shelter the various animals that inhabit Earth from an impending flood – which is meant to rebirth “a world ravaged by human sin.”
Rising young actors Douglas Booth and Logan Lerman are also confirmed as part of the Noah cast; furthermore, Crowe’s A Beautiful Mind costar, Jennifer Connelly, was said to still be a front-runner to sign on as Noah’s wife, Naameth.
It’s since been revealed that Harry Potter alum Emma Watson has entered talks to appear in Noah as Ila, the young woman ...
