Jeremy Renner in the latest Bourne Legacy TV spots and poster

Universal is hoping for a hat trick with The Bourne Legacy, which marks just the latest action flick featuring Jeremy Renner released in theaters over the past year (after Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and The Avengers); Legacy is also the first franchise vehicle headlined by Renner. It’s possible that the Oscar-nominee/rising star and Jason Bourne actor Matt Damon could join forces in a fifth Bourne movie - assuming the masses are receptive to Renner’s onscreen alter ego (the genetically-enhanced assassin Aaron Cross)
