The Hobbit at Comic-Con 2012

The long-in-development and highly anticipated prequels to the Lord of the Rings trilogy finished production last week just in time for director Peter Jackson to bring The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to Comic-Con 2012.

Sir Ian McKellen [IM], Martin Freeman [Bilbo], Andy Serkis [AS], Richard Armitage [RA] and Peter Jackson [PJ] himself will be on stage to talk about the film and share exclusive new footage.

If you’re attending the convention, you can check out the panel yourself at 2:30 AM Pacific Time in Hall H on Saturday, July 14th as part of the two-and-a-half hour Warner Bros. presentation. Comic-Con 2012: ‘Man of Steel’ Panel (And New Poster!)

Superman Man of Steel at Comic-Con 2012

With Green Lantern not meeting expectations and the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises serving as the end to Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale’s Batman story, it’s up to Zack Snyder to kickstart DC cinematic universe with Man of Steel. Outside of set photos and one official photo, very little from the film has been visible to the public.

Warner Bros. is including Man of Steel as part of their Comic-Con 2012 Hall H presentation but no information on who will be there or what will be shown has been released. Expect Mr. Snyder himself, star Henry Cavill and a few other surprise guests as the first ever footage of the Superman reboot is premiered.

‘Mortal Kombat: Legacy’ Season 2 Announcement Trailer; Tournament Will Be the Focus

The Web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy made something of a big splash last year, releasing nine episodes (watch them here) that largely focused on the re-imagined backstories of franchise-favorite characters such as Jax, Sonya, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Johnny Cage, Raiden, and others.

In not-so-coincidental accordance with Comic-Con 2012, director Kevin Tancharoen has announced that Mortal Kombat: Legacy season 2 is one the way, via a hilarious season 2 announcement trailer (see above). Scroll down for more details about what MK:L season 2 will entail.

Legacy covered a lot of Mortal Kombat history but ultimately left some fans cold, since the galvanizing event of the original video game series – the Mortal Kombat fighting tournament – was never actually featured in the Web series.
