‘Silent Hill: Revelation 3D’ Clip & Image: Psycho Nurses & Hell Fire
0Silent Hill: Revelation 3D hopes to recapture the hellish atmosphere and dread that its predecessor inspired. While the original isn’t exactly a masterpiece, it was a successful enough adaptation of the popular horror/mystery video game series to warrant a sequel – not to mention, it left plenty of a viewers with at least one or two twisted images or sequences burned into their brain.
Today’s clip from Silent Hill: Revelation shows that writer/director Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) is definitely going for a nightmarish aesthetic all his own. Check out the aptly-named “Nurses” sequence above.
The clip of course recalls the “Nurses” scene from Silent Hill 1, which saw star Radha Mitchell (who is returning for this sequel) having to crawl through a gauntlet of short-skirted, bandaged-faced nightmare dames, armed with rusty scalpels. If you’re not getting the picture, such is the type of ...

Marvel Co-President Teases Ant-Man in 2014
0
Before Guardians of the Galaxy and the other Phase Two Marvel Studios films were confirmed during the Iron Man 3 panel at Comic-Con 2012 over the weekend, we theorized about where Ant-Man would fit into the Marvel Studios’ release schedule.
At one point, Marvel had a pair of summer dates locked in 2014 for unannounced tentpoles. One of them became Captain America: The Winter Soldier and moved to the Spring, the other became Guardians of the Galaxy and moved back to August. Now that Ant-Man is a reality – as demonstrated via test footage premiering at Comic-Con 2012, could Ant-Man take one of those two summer 2014 dates?
We knew years ago that Ant-Man wouldn’t appear in The Avengers, with Edgar Wright stating that the character would need his own introduction post-Avengers so he can join the ...

Francis Lawrence starts shooting The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in less than two months, so there should be several concrete casting announcements in the immediate future.
Jena Malone and Philip Seymour Hoffman were confirmed as new additions to the second Hunger Games flick just a couple of weeks ago. Today we have word that the cast also includes Golden Globe-nominee Amanda Plummer as Wiress (an eccentric Quarter Quell participant who goes by the nickname “Nuts”). Plummer, as it were, is perhaps still best known for her turn as Honey Bunny in Pulp Fiction.
Variety has learned that the following individuals are shortlisted (re: frontrunners) to join Catching Fire:
- Sam Claflin, the 26-year old English actor who recently played a small role in both Pirates of the Caribbean 4 and ...

0
Disney-based Pixar returned to the Toy Story well for a pair of sequels, and the results were rewarding from both an artistic and financial perspective (Cars 2, by comparison, only did well in terms of box office receipts).
The computer animation studio hopes to replicate the Toy Story movies’ success with next summer’s prequel, Monsters University – and a followup to its second-highest-grossing, Oscar-winning summer smash, Finding Nemo. Moreover, Pixar stalwart Andrew Stanton has been confirmed to return as director for that sequel.
Stanton stumbled with his live-action directorial debut, John Carter, which opened to mixed reviews and failed to recoup its bloated budget (forcing the Mouse House to take a significant loss). Deadline is reporting that Stanton has been dancing around Finding Nemo 2 for several months, and has now officially ...

The photos that have been snapped on the Iron Man 3 set have, on the whole, hinted at a a lot of problems for Tony Stark in this threequel. Without spoiling anything, we’ve seen former Iron Man friends being given a fresh makeover, as well as set equipment that indicated – before it was confirmed by concept art and Comic-Con 2012 footage – that Stark’s Malibu home was going to be undergoing some pretty destructive renovation when the bad guys came calling.
Today we have new Iron Man 3 set photos, and they seem to indicate that the criminal organization Tony is up against will be wreaking havoc all over the place – even in the sky. scroll down if you want to know more ...
