CW Reveals ‘Battle Royale’ Series Details; Changes Will Be Made

It’s only been a few days since the CW announced they were in talks to bring Japanese cult thriller Battle Royale to network television and already the decision has been heavily criticized. Many fans and critics alike have been questioning how a TV series based on a group of junior high school students killing each other would make it on American TV – but the CW has quickly set out to (somewhat) address the issue.
With the CW’s target audience being within the 18 to 34-year-old demographic, the network is looking to cash in on the Hunger Games phenomenon that their same demographic made such a huge international success. Thanos Headlines ‘The Avengers’ Blu-ray Clips

We’re less than two months away from the home video release of the most successful superhero film of all-time and in anticipation of The Avengers coming to a home theater near you, Disney has released several key clips from the film. Three highlight a key moment of the film, relating to the heroes coming together to work as a team, with the fourth clip coming from after the credits began to roll.
We’re of course referring to the infamous mid-credits button for The Avengers which confirms the long-rumored appearance of Thanos and teases Phase Two of the Marvel cinematic universe.

‘Anger Management’ 90-Episode Pickup Likely; Martin Sheen Joins Cast

Though it has yet to officially happen, FX president John Landgraf has hinted that they’ll be picking up Charlie Sheen’s Anger Management for an additional 90-episodes, after the series exceeded its contractual ratings threshold.
Speaking with the press at the Television Critics Association press tour, Landgraf revealed that episodes 3 – 6 of Sheen’s new series have surpassed the ratings threshold needed to receive the substantial pickup. Waiting until after the tenth episode has aired to make the official announcement, Sheen’s return to television can certainly be called a success – for both the actor and FX.

FX’s ‘Louie’ Renewed for Season 4

Things just keep getting better and better for comedian Louis C.K. Fresh off his second-consecutive Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for his breakout FX comedy Louie, C.K.’s also earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Direction for a Comedy Series. If that all wasn’t enough, his upcoming stand-up tour is steadily selling out all around the country, and he’s found a way to cut out the middle-man when it comes to fans purchasing tickets for his shows.
Now comes word that FX will renew Louie for a 13-episode fourth season. The season 3 currently has eight episodes remaining, and can be seen Thursday nights at 10:30pm (EST) on FX.

In December, when the prologue from The Dark Knight Rises premiered before the IMAX version of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, the buzz surrounding the scene was less concerned with the impressive stunt work and more concerned with the unintelligible nature of Tom Hardy’s Bane voice.
At the time, unnamed sources swore up and down that Christopher Nolan would not alter the voice for the final cut, saying that the director “doesn’t dumb things down” for audiences.
