‘Boss’ Season 2, Episode 3: ‘Ablution’ Recap
0
In the past few episodes of Boss, Mayor Tom Kane (Kelsey Grammer), having nearly lost his wife, sought some mild form of reconciliation with his daughter and begun a series of aggressive maneuverings against the interminably slow governmental process of his city – displaying a remarkable shift in demeanor, not only as husband and father, but ruler of Chicago, as well. As tragic as it may seem, that alteration in Kane’s personality is likely as much due to the length of time he has to live as it is the affliction cutting his life short.
In ‘Ablution,’ Kane begins to demonstrate that it’s no longer business as usual in the mayor’s office – though some things like cameras and microphones hidden in the office and home of Mona Fredricks (Sanaa Lathan), point to just how difficult ...

‘The Office’ Spin-Off ‘The Farm’ Adds Cousin Mose to Cast
0
We can add yet another member to the cast of The Office spin-off, The Farm, this week and this one may be the most anticipated and celebrated so far. Mike Schur, an executive producer on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, will be reprising his role as Dwight Schrute’s cousin Mose for the spin-off pilot and potential series.
Although not an actor by trade, Schur may be best known to fans of The Office for his impeccably quirky portrayal of Dwight’s young beet-farming cousin.
Mose has certainly become a memorable character for faithful followers of The Office but Schur admitted he’s more comfortable behind-the-scenes than in them.
According to Schur:

‘On the Road’ Trailer: Watch the Beat Generation in Motion
0The domestic teaser trailer for On the Road is a series of moving snapshots that encapsulate the jazzy lifestyle of the Beat Generation, as originally covered in Jack Kerouac’s famous pseudo-autobiographical book.
Several famous faces and big-name cast members flash by here, leaving little time for viewers to even register what they’ve seen. Nonetheless, essential players who pop up in the teaser include Garrett Hedlund (TRON Legacy), Kristen Stewart, Sam Riley (13), Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, and Terrence Howard. Such actresses as Amy Adams, Alice Braga (I Am Legend), and Mad Men‘s Elisabeth Moss also help bring the character chorus of Kerouac’s tale to life.
On the Road tells the story of a generation through the eyes of three people: writer Sal (Riley) as well as free-spirited couple Dean (Hedlund) and Marylou (Stewart). The trio venture across ...

Will Smith’s Biblical Vampire Film ‘Redemption of Cain’ Moving Forward
0
Vampires and U.S. history were merged together this year in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter; it appears the next genre blend featuring the ravenous undead is going to be Will Smith’s The Redemption of Cain.
Redemption of Cain is a re-imagining of the Biblical brother tale of Cain and Abel – with “a vampiric twist.” Smith began circling the project two years ago, with plans to both produce and headline the film (then titled Legend of Cain). Reports leaked out earlier this summer, revealing that Smith had also begun making plans to tackle directorial duties; it’s not altogether clear whether that remains the case now.
The vampire movie and TV show craze has been ongoing for years now (Twilight, True Blood, Vampire Diaries); we’re also currently on the verge of a Biblical epic resurgence ...
