Not long after receiving the news that The CW had canceled the Sarah Michelle Gellar thriller Ringer, its creators, Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder, have managed to garner some interest from NBC regarding a new mysterious-sounding gothic thriller to be set in New Orleans.

That is certainly good news for the writing partners, as Ringer went from being touted as the return of Buffy Summers and one of the most buzz-worthy shows of the 2011 fall schedule, to something of a dud in terms of what critics had to say about it and the ratings it managed to grab. Not surprisingly, after its initial 22-episode first season, The CW’s interest identity-swapping twin sisters waned, and network executives gave Ringer the boot.
