James Franco Shooting As I Lay Dying October

Over the course of his film career, James Franco has slowly transitioned from goofy leading man, to serious actor who occasionally takes on a silly role. Between attending classes, teaching classes, co-hosting the Oscars, and writing his own projects, it’s a wonder Franco even finds time to sleep.

When he does sleep, however, he most likely dreams about a huge passion project of his: adapting William Faulkner’s As I Lay Dying into a feature-length film. An extremely challenging task given that Faulkner’s novel is told from more than a dozen different perspectives, yet Franco has remained undeterred in his efforts and even shot a rough version of his vision a few years ago.

Now that vision of As I Lay Dying is finally coming ...

The Office Season 9

NBC’s longtime primetime comedy staple, The Office, is taking its final bow this year, as executive producer Greg Daniels announced today that the series will be coming to an end after season 9.

Speaking to the press today, Daniels not only revealed that The Office will be coming to an end this season, he also noted a debate of possibly rebooting the series – as well as hinting at what fans can expect to see in the final season.

Touching upon its casts’ growing popularity (and departures), Daniels brings up the fact that this is really the only time that The Office could end appropriately:

As far as the content was concerned, there were some brief hints as to the direction Fringe season 5 might be headed – most notably seen in the episode titled ‘Letters of Transit’ – and now we have a new season 5 teaser that is definitely an Observer event.

In past seasons, the role of the Observer was simply to do as their name implies – to chronicle these “fringe” events and move on. That role changed when the Observers delivered  huge revelations towards the end of last season, and in season 5, they are jumping out of the ...

The Walking Dead Casting News Dallas Roberts

With season 3 of The Walking Dead, AMC is taking the series into beloved fan territory and introducing two very important characters. Casting has already been secured for both Michonne, the zombie-toting, katana-wielding woman seen briefly in season 2 – and the Governor, who, like Rick, is a “lawman” who abides by his own set of rules, What’s left is for producers Glen Mazzara and Robert Kirkman to fill in the bit parts – i.e., characters integral to the process of a TV show, but not a part of the graphic novels.

Among those characters is Milton, who is not necessarily the Governor’s right-hand man, but an individual that focuses on the details. In essence, Milton could be considered the Governor’s sense of reasoning, helping him make the tough decisions for the ...
