The Possession, the  latest horror offering from producer Sam Raimi (Evil Dead and the upcoming Oz the Great and Powerful) and director Ole Borendal (Nightwatch), opens in theaters this weekend.

The film stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan as a recently single father struggling to balance the demands of his career while raising his daughters in the midst of a divorce. When a mysterious box purchased at a garage sale starts to dramatically effect his youngest girl, Em (Natasha Calis), he must refocus his energies on saving her very soul.

We had the opportunity to sit down with Calis and Morgan to talk about the film recently. While the younger star was a bit shy during our time with her, we can assure you that she is a fearless talent (as indicated in our review of The Possession).

In addition to saying that he ...

For a Good Time Call Movie (2012)

For A Good Time, Call… stars ‘seen ‘em somewhere’ actresses Lauren Miller (wife of Seth Rogen) and Ari Graynor (FringeThe Sopranos, Whip It) as Lauren and Katie, two twenty-something girls trying to make it in NYC. A (gross) chance encounter at a college party years before left bad blood between the girls, but when each one finds herself facing a rent crisis, partnering up as roommates becomes a need, instead of a choice.

After a short span of tense co-habitation, Lauren discovers that her free-spirited roommate has a… unique occupation as a phone-sex operator. At first, conservative Lauren wants nothing to do with Katie’s dirty business; however, due to slim job prospects and a feeling of deep insecurity – thanks ...

Natasha Calis as Emily in 'The Possession'

For mainstream movie fans The Possession producer, Sam Raimi, is best known for helming Toby Maguire’s blockbuster Spider-Man trilogy but, for horror movie lovers, the filmmaker is also responsible for directing fan-favorites like Army of Darkness, the Evil Dead films, and most recently Drag Me to Hell. While the in-demand director can’t personally oversee every scary movie project that crosses his desk, he’s assisted in bringing several other fan-favorite horror properties to the big screen – producing the American Grudge series as well as the upcoming Poltergeist remake.

For The Possession, Raimi handed over the director’s chair to Danish filmmaker, Ole Bornedal (Nightwatch) – with a cast that includes Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen), Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer), as well as reggae fusion recording artist, Matisyahu. Has Bornedal, who is mostly unknown to American audiences, managed to ...

First Look at Chris Pine as ‘Jack Ryan’; ‘Skyfall’ Images Feature New Bond Girls

Alex Cross and Jack Reacher are character-anchored action franchise titles due out later this year; both have generated controversy, as a result of unpopular casting – namely, Tyler Perry as Cross and Tom Cruise as Reacher. Both headlining stars have loyal followings, but the jury’s still out as to whether or not they work on their own terms (much less, as unconventional interpretations of those characters).

Today, we get a (very) small taste of what to expect from Chris Pine in a similar upcoming title, Jack Ryan – a reboot of the Tom Clancy franchise. Meanwhile, new pics have emerged from Skyfall, with Daniel Craig returning a third time as James Bond; however, we may be getting a more traditional 007 this time, as opposed to previous Craig films (Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace).

Kenneth Branagh (Thor) only recently began filming on Jack Ryan, but ...
