Love it or hate it, the found-footage style of filmmaking appears to be here to stay. Thanks to the fact that they have low budgets and typically cast lesser-known lead actors, films like Chronicle, Project X and Cloverfield have consistently scored at the box office. Case in point, Paranormal Activity 4 is currently sitting atop the nationwide box office. Truly there is no better time for a film to come along and lampoon the entire found-footage genre.

We’ve already learned the official synopsis of Marlon Wayans’ upcoming found-footage parody, which takes particular aim at the Paranormal Activity series. Entitled simply A Haunted House, the film – directed by Michael Tiddes and co-written by Wayans and Rick Alvarez – stars Wayans, Essence Atkins, Nick Swardson and Cedric the Entertainer.
