Edgar Wright’s ‘World’s End’ Gets An Official Poster & U.S. Release Date

Filming has gotten underway on The World’s End, a figurative ‘third act’ to follow the cult genre love-letters (as well as British social satires) Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Edgar Wright is again directing a script he co-wrote with Simon Pegg; the latter, meanwhile, is reuniting onscreen with Nick Frost, alongside fellow ‘Blood & Ice Cream’ trilogy players like Paddy Considine and Martin Freeman.
The World’s End riffs on the tropes and archetypes of such apocalyptic blockbusters as Deep Impact and 2012, juxtaposing a tale of people seeking to reconcile with their past against a world-ending event.
