Following the first official trailer, a bunch of new promotional stills are out from Marvel and Netflix’s “The Defenders” event series.
The shots offer looks at the four heroes (Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones) along with supporting characters like Stick (Scott Glenn), Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), and the villain Alexandra (Sigourney Weaver).
The trailer has logged more than 4 million views on Youtube alone after 24 hours. The eight-episode run of “The Defenders” will be available to stream on Netflix from August 18th.
XYZ Films has released the first photo and synopsis from “Apostle,” the new film from “The Raid” director Gareth Evans.
Dan Stevens stars in the film as Thomas Richardson, a man who travels to a remote island in 1905 to rescue his sister after she has been kidnapped by a strange religious cult demanding ransom for her return.
It quickly becomes clear the cult will regret the day it took her, as he digs deeper into the secrets and lies upon which the commune is built.
Michael Sheen, Lucy Boynton, Mark Lewis Jones, Bill Milner, Kristine Froseth, and Paul Higgins also star in the film which has yet to set a release date and likely won’t hit until sometime next year.
Dave Chappelle will join Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in the remake of “A Star is Born” at Warner Bros. Pictures and 22 & Green.
The story gives a fresh look at the story about a singer whose star rises as quickly as her troubled lover/mentor’s star is falling. Chappelle will play Cooper’s oldest friend, who used to perform with him at blues clubs. Andrew Dice Clay and Sam Elliott also star.
Eric Roth (“Munich”) penned the latest draft, earlier versions were done by Cooper and Will Fetters. Cooper is also directing the project and will produce alongside Jon Peters, Bill Gerber, and Basil Iwanyk. The film opens September 28th 2018.
