The first trailer, photos and poster are out from “Short Term 12” director Destin Daniel Cretton’s new film “The Glass Castle” based on the best-selling memoir by Jeannette Walls.

The story tracks Walls’ unconventional, poverty-stricken upbringing she and her siblings had at the hands of their deeply dysfunctional parents, and how she reconciled with it as an adult.

Larson plays the adult version, Woody Harrelson is her dad. Naomi Watts, and Max Greenfield also star in the film which opens August 11th.
