The season 10 finale of Doctor Who contained a number of integral moments, but perhaps none more so that the final two scenes, and the return of the first Time Lord. Confirming what was already rumored, recent set photos released show David Bradley as the first Doctor, originally played by the late William Hartnell. After a fierce battle with the Mondasian Cybermen, and fulfilling his vow that he will fall where he stands, the Doctor fell victim to viscous blasts from a cyberman, and was rendered unconscious.
What would normally kill a human, of course, does not have the same effect on ...

Oscar-nominee Gabourey Sidibe is having fun pondering the idea of being in a superhero movie someday. Sidibe, of course, burst onto the scene in Hollywood in 2009 playing the titular role in Precious, which earned her a Best Actress Oscar nomination. She’s alternated between film and television ever since, with roles in such movies as Tower Heist and Seven Psychopaths, and has had recurring turns on TV’s The Big C, American Horror Story and most recently on Empire, which was created by her Precious director Lee Daniels.
And while Sidibe’s credits have tended to learn more toward the dramatic end in film and TV (save her roles on AHS’ Coven and Freak Show), it turns out the acclaimed actress has a big interest in the superhero genre. Talk of a sequel to “Creed” began almost immediately after Ryan Coogler’s “Rocky” spin-off film opened to rave reviews from all corners along with becoming a box-office hit.
One idea that was floated and was subsequently shot down quickly by series producer Irwin Winkler was a prequel reuniting Rocky Balboa and Carl Weathers‘ Apollo Creed. At the time it was confirmed that any sequel would focus on Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed character, son of Apollo.
However, Stallone dropped a post on Instagram today using some Photoshop to tease a tantalising idea about a “Creed” sequel – one that could involve Adonis facing off against Drago (Dolph Lundgren) who killed Adonis’ father in the ring in “Rocky IV,” or someone akin to him like Drago’s son. Check out the post below.
“Creed 2” has been announced but currently hasn’t got a production date or director let alone a release date.

The first box-office tracking figures for the film are in with Matt Reeves’ “War for the Planet of the Apes” reportedly headed for an opening in the $55-65 million range.
That puts it within the standard range of the franchise. 2011’s “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” opened to $54.8 million domestic, while 2014’s “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” opened to $72.6 million.
Both films combined have earned nearly $1.2 billion worldwide, with ‘Dawn’ being the bigger success with a whopping $500 million from overseas markets with ‘War’ likely to follow.
While this Summer has been ruthless in its treatment of sequels, it has also been kind to well-reviewed titles – something ‘War’ very much has on its side. The film currently holds a trilogy best score of an astonishing 96% (8.3/10) on Rotten Tomatoes, while on Metacritic it ties with ‘Dawn’ for a 79/100.
“War for the Planet of the Apes” is currently slated for release on July 14th.
