The Alberta Film Classification board has just revealed that two new trailers have been rated and should be dropping imminently.

The first is the long-awaited 2min 20sec first trailer for “The Snowman,” the film adaptation of “Headhunters” author Jo Nesbo’s novel which boasts Tomas Alfredson (“Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”) as director and both Hossein Amini (“Drive) and Matthew Michael Carnahan (“Deepwater Horizon”) as writers.

Michael Fassbender leads the film as a detective investigating the disappearance of a woman whose pink scarf is found wrapped around an ominous-looking snowman. Rebecca Ferguson, Val Kilmer, J.K. Simmons, Chloe Sevigny, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Toby Jones, James D’Arcy and Jamie Clayton also star.

The second is the 2min 30sec teaser trailer for “The Book of Eli” and “From Hell” director Albert Hughes’ “Alpha”. Previously titled “The Solutrean,” Kodi Smit-McPhee leads a cast in a story set 20,000 years ago during the last Ice Age.

Both trailers should arrive online within the next two weeks.
