Following rave reviews on the film festival circuit this year, including a win for best British feature at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, Francis Lee’s acclaimed Yorkshire sheep farm-set gay romance drama “God’s Own Country” has set release dates in a number of key territories.

The film has marked out an October 27th release in the United States, a September 14th release in Australia, a September 1st release in the United Kingdom, and an August 24th release in New Zealand.

Next up, The BBC has confirmed the event series “Top Of The Lake: China Girl” will screen in the UK commencing July 27th on BBC Two, with the complete series also available on BBC iPlayer in the UK from that date. The series is expected to screen in Australia in August and in the United States on SundanceTV and Hulu in September.

Third up, the Amy Schumer comedy “I Feel Pretty” will make its theatrical debut on June 29th next year according to STXfilms which acquired the Voltage-financed title out of Cannes. Michelle Williams, Emily Ratajkowski and Rafe Spall have joined the cast about an ordinary woman who struggles with feelings of insecurity and inadequacy on a daily basis.

Fourth comes word that Richard Linklater’s adaptation of Maria Semple’s best-selling novel “Where’d You Go, Bernadette?”. Cate Blanchett stars in the film which is set to score a Mother’s Day 2018 release.

Blanchett plays an eccentric former architect who mysteriously disappears from her claustrophobic life in Seattle, leaving behind her unfulfilled tech-exec husband and their intelligent young daughter. Bill Crudup and Kristen Wiig also star.

Finally, a couple of key Blu-ray & rental VOD release dates have been announced this week with”My Cousin Rachel” to debut August 29th, while “The Mummy” reboot and slow-burn paranoia thriller “It Comes At Night” both arriving on September 12th. “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” will be arriving October 3rd, and both it and ‘Mummy’ will get 4K releases. Each title will include deleted scenes, featurettes and commentary tracks.
