Hayley Atwell Visits Marvel – Is Peggy Carter Returning to the MCU?

Hayley Atwell paid a visit to Marvel Studios Monday, creating speculation that her days as Agent Peggy Carter might not be over with yet. Atwell’s Agent Carter, of course, is one of the longest-serving members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, dating back to her appearance opposite Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers/Captain America in the 2011 hit Captain America: The First Avenger. Since then she’s appeared in bit parts in three additional MCU movies, and a Marvel One Shot short film, as well as a guest spot on ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and her solo series Agent Carter, which unceremoniously came to an end after two seasons.

Star Wars 9 Getting Rewrite From Wonder Scribe

Colin Trevorrow’s Star Wars: Episode IX is getting a rewrite from Jack Thorne, who penned this year’s Julia Roberts and Jacob Tremblay led drama Wonder. The conclusion to Lucasfilm’s sequel trilogy has been in development since Trevorrow was hired for the directing job back in 2015, with Trevorrow and writing partner Derek Connolly taking the first stab at the script. The duo had recently completed a first draft, and the studio was pleased with their progress to give the movie a May 2019 release date.

Currently, Trevorrow is aiming to start rolling the cameras in January 2018, which is only five months away as of this writing. The filmmakers are currently working ...

New Defenders Poster & Images Offer Best Look Yet At Marvel Series

A new poster and a big batch of images have arrived for Marvel and Netflix’s The Defenders, further teasing the upcoming team-up. In a little over two weeks, the four street-level Marvel shows on Netflix will come together for a small-screen version of The Avengers. With Sigourney Weaver’s Alexandra and her role as a leader of The Hand putting New York in jeopardy, the city’s cantankerous vigilantes will have to put aside their enmities and work together. The show will also see a number of supporting characters in on the action, all of which will lead to one massive team-up scene.
