Legends of Tomorrow actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers says the CW series manages to feel “like a new show” despite the fact that it’s going into its 3rd season. This is an opinion shared by the showrunners who also said they look at each season like a reboot. Perhaps this is how the time traveling superhero show is able to stay so exciting and fresh.

Arrow Producer Teases Michael Emerson’s Mystery Villain

Arrow is getting a mysterious new villain for its 6th season. At San Diego Comic Con it was announced that Michael Emerson would be joining the cast of the popular CW superhero show in an undisclosed role. He joins Kirk Acevedo who is playing the season’s other big bad Ricardo Diaz/Richard Dragon.

Season 5 of Arrow brought Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) story full circle. It closed out the flashbacks of his time on the island which have been an integral part of the show since its inception. Sony and Marvel Studios’ re-imagining of Spidey as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a global success, bringing in over $737 million worldwide and running not too far behind Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 domestically. Iron Man got the MCU started back in 2008 and was a massive success in its own right; its gradual tumble down the list of most successful MCU movies shows just how well the mega-franchise has performed in the years since.

As of this writing, 30 movies have joined the “billion-dollar club” by grossing ten figures at the box office worldwide. Adjusting for inflation, that number grows to 38– though, for purposes of this list, only the films that have grossed over a billion actual dollars were considered.

Despicable Me 3 is currently within striking distance of the achievement, and will reach that goal if it can earn a little over $50 million more before it ends its worldwide theatrical run.
