Actress Annabeth Gish has announced she will be reprising her role of FBI special agent Monica Reyes in the upcoming second season of “The X-Files” revival.
Gish joins fellow returnees Gillian Anderson as Agent Dana Scull, David Duchovny as Agent Fox Mulder, and Mitch Pileggi as FBI assistant director Walter Skinner.
Reyes was last seen in the tenth season finale with the character now working for The Smoking Man, but offering crucial information to stop the spread of the Spartan virus.
The upcoming season, the show’s eleventh overall, will consist of ten episodes. Chris Carter, Glen Morgan, Darin Morgan and James Wong, Gabe Rotter, Benjamin Van Allen and Brad Follmer are all set to work on scripts for the episodes.
Filming is now underway ahead of an early 2018 launch.
