Netflix Cancels Naomi Watts’ Gypsy After One Season
The Netflix original series Gypsy,starring Oscar-nominee Naomi Watts, has been cancelled after a single season. Created and written by Lisa Rubin, the psychological drama series followed the illicit exploits of Jean Holloway (Watts), a New York City-based psychotherapist who secretly infiltrates the private lives of her patients during her off-hours, under the alias Diane Hart.
Unfortunately for Watts and Rubin, Gypsy was met with a less than enthusiastic critical reception upon its premiere on Netflix, and is currently sporting a 26% rotten rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
