The Shape of Water Red Band Trailer is More Violent & Romantic
A new red band trailer for The Shape of Water is now online. The film is the latest in a line of modern fairytales created by Guillermo del Toro (Crimson Peak, Pan’s Labyrinth). On one hand, it’s a love story, period piece and war picture – but with del Toro’s trademark grisly whimsy, it’s also a very heartfelt and personal monster movie. Now, with three months till the film’s release, it’s starting to show its claws with its latest trailer for mature audiences only.
Described in its tagline as “A Fairy Tale for Trouble Times”, The Shape of Water is set within a tense U.S. government laboratory during the Cold War. This high-security, bunker-type facility is packed to its roots with mystery – and Sally Hawkins’ deaf and mute Eliza, along with her friend and co-worker, Zelda (played by Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer), sets the movie’s story in motion ...
