Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) has officially made his Thor: Ragnarok poster debut. The Sorcerer Supreme had already appeared in some of the trailers for the movie, but had yet to join the cast of the God of Thunder’s third solo film in an official promotional poster – until now.
Directed by New Zealander director Taika Waititi, Ragnarok immediately differentiates itself not just from the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also from the preceding Thor films. Among other things, it embraces bold colors and psychedelic backdrops; themselves direct nods to Jack Kirby’s trippy comic book work and illustrations.
