The public drama brewing between Fast and Furious costars continues to rage on with Tyrese Gibson delivering yet another harshly worded statement regarding Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s upcoming spinoff movie. Universal Pictures’s decision to push back Fast and Furious 9 to April 2020 (from its original April 2019 release date) came mere days after Gibson had publicly pleaded with Johnson not to prioritize his spinoff film with Jason Statham – which would focus on the adventures of Johnson’s DSS Agent Luke Hobbs and Stathams’ former SAS Officer Deckard Shaw – over that of the mainline saga.
