American Crime Story is finally returning, and after tackling the O.J. Simpson trial in its debut season, is telling another provocative true crime story in The Assassination of Gianni Versace.
Versace was not originally meant to be the second season of this series, but rather the third – the second originally being a story focused on the government response to Hurricane Katrina. But the two premises switched places, with the slightly more obscure Versace case being bumped up. Ryan Murphy acts as an executive producer on the series, having the same role in other anthology shows including American Horror Story and Feud, with each season of these shows having their own separate story, Murphy technically has a lot of TV shows under his belt.
