Star Trek icon George Takei has taken to social media to deny an allegation of sexual misconduct that a model/actor claims happened 36 years ago. In addition to his stature as one of the seven prominent cast members on the original Star Trek TV series from the late 1960s (and subsequent movies featuring the cast in later years), Takei in recent years has used his voice in Hollywood to address social issues, including gay rights activism, after he revealed his sexuality in 2005.
