Rob Lowe to Direct & Star in Gender-Swapped Bad Seed Remake

Rob Lowe has signed on to direct and star in a gender-swapped remake of the creepy 1956 horror classic The Bad Seed, for Lifetime. That may seem like an odd move for Lowe to make on the surface, but it will simply continue a career that’s already been rather eclectic. Lowe has never been shy about switching between comedic and dramatic roles, and has also spent some time in the horror realm on occasion.

Oscar Isaac May Voice Gomez in Animated Addams Family Movie

Oscar Isaac is in talks to lend his voice to Gomez Addams in Conrad Vernon’s animated Addams Family movie. Vernon made a splash last year as a director with his raunchy animated comedy Sausage Party and has been formally attached to MGM’s animated Addams Family project since this past October. The film itself has been in development since 2013, with Pamela Pettler (Corpse Bride, Monster House) and Matt Lieberman (the upcoming animated Scooby-Doo reboot Scooby) writing the script.
