Since The CW first aired Arrow in the fall of 2012, the network has set a new high standard for superhero adaptations on the small screen. While the executive producers of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. were insisting that it wasn’t reasonable for viewers to expect to see the same things on TV as they’d see in a superhero movie, series like The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow were bringing the likes of King Shark and Gorilla Grodd to life.
