Netflix Sets Chris Rock Standup Special for Valentine’s Day Premiere
Netflix will debut their new Chris Rock stand-up special Tamborine on Valentine’s Day, the streaming service has revealed. It’s the first new stand-up special from Rock in ten years. The announcement comes after Netflix released a mysterious “tamborine” teaser without explaining what “tamborine” was. This continues a recent trend of Netflix marketing that only briefly builds intrigue, then pays off with surprise releases. That trend reached epic proportions when the service revealed the trailer for The Cloverfield Paradox during Super Bowl LII, then announced the film would become available immediately after the game.
