Twelve years ago, the WB and UPN merged together in an effort to compete with declining viewership brought on by bigger TV networks. After several years of struggling to maintain interest, the CW emerged as a re-branded powerhouse, shifting its focus towards teen-centric television series with a dramatic flair. Now with hit series like The Vampire Diaries and the shows of the Arrowverse giving the network a much needed boost in the Nielsen ratings, a host of stars have come from out of the woodwork, popping up across various CW programs.
