With so many classic TV shows being brought back, its long past time for X-Men: The Animated Series to finally get a revival, and that can now happen with Disney+. Disney's new streaming service, which launched in November 2019, has become a home for original content from Marvel - not just projects from Marvel Studios. But Marvel Studios is producing new shows exclusively for Disney+, which will all be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Apart from its new content, Disney+'s Marvel lineup is packed with movies and shows from the 1990s and 2000s, including popular animated cartoons like the 1990s Spider-Man show, The Incredible Hulk, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and more. Perhaps the most popular Marvel show it offers is X-Men: The Animated Series, a show which ran for five seasons on FOX from 1992 to 1997. The series centered on Professor Xavier's team of mutants, which consisted of Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Gambit, Jubilee, Storm, and Rogue. Throughout the series, the X-Men battled numerous threats from the comics, including Apocalypse, Magneto, and Mister Sinister.
Their adventures ended after season 5 in 1997, and multiple X-Men shows have replaced it in the years that followed. However, though Wolverine and the X-Men and X-Men: Evolution were popular in their own right, they were unable to reach the cult status of X-Men: The Animated Series, which is largely responsible for why Wolverine and the rest of Marvel's Merry Mutants were such a hot topic in the 1990s.
How would an X-Men revival work? Some of the voice talent that was involved in the show, such as Rogue voice actress Lenore Zann, would no longer be available due to her work in politics, so unfortunately at least one major replacement would have to be found. Others, however, like Catherine Disher (Jean Grey) and Tony Daniels (Gambit) are still active in the industry and could be brought back to reprise their roles. It's possible that Wolverine voice actor Cal Dodd and more would be willing to return as well. Furthermore, it was reported in 2019 that X-Men: The Animated Series creators were planning to pitch a revival to Disney., and plans for what X-Men season 6 would have offered have been discussed in the past. Season 6 would have dealt with the team falling apart after Professor Xavier had to go into outer space at the end of season 5; an X-Men revival could finally explore this story.
If a revival did happen, it's important that X-Men: The Animated Series stay true to what made the show such a hit in the first place. Though a cartoon created for children, the show was appreciated for its serious tone. This is one aspect that would need to be carried over to a potential season 6, along with other key elements, such as the memorable relationships between the characters (particularly the issues between Wolverine and Cyclops), and their iconic costume designs, which are now synonymous with the 1990s cartoons.
What's more, bringing back X-Men: The Animated Series could be great move for Disney+. It's possible that the success it has seen from its decision to revive Star Wars: The Clone Wars for season 7 will lead the company to look at more cartoons that have previously ended. Since X-Men: The Animated Series has been off the air for so long but still has so many devoted fans, it would surely generate a great deal of interest in Disney+ if a sixth season was produced. This could be exactly what Disney+ needs, especially since that there's currently a considerable lack of original content on the platform.
Staying inside is much easier with the help of the variety of gaming consoles available, including the popular Nintendo Switch and its Joy-Con controllers. While some people enjoy the adaptability of Joy-Cons, others might be frustrated by the design and find they are better off purchasing an alternative controller for use with the Switch instead. Luckily, there's plenty of options to choose from.
The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid console, meaning it offers handheld gameplay, but can also function as a traditional console as well. While Nintendo has previously sold traditional and handheld consoles in the past, the Switch is a more ambitious product. Among its many other features, the Switch provides typical handheld gamers the power needed to run stronger graphics. Besides the main model, Nintendo does also sell a Switch Lite with one of the main differences being that unlike the standard Switch, the Lite has built-in controllers.
Typically, when a person uses the Switch as a handheld device, the controls work like they would for Nintendo’s other handheld devices. The docked Switch acts like a traditional console, and the Joy-Cons can join together (with the help of the Joy-Con grip) to make one controller. However, other controller styles can provide more comfort and can help to improve a person’s gameplay. For example, avid gamers who are familiar with popular consoles – like the Xbox One – can purchase a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. This product sells for $70 and offers the gamer a familiar feeling of control when playing their favorite Nintendo Switch game.
The Joy-Con controllers are versatile, and a person can desynchronize a pair of Joy-Cons to change their function and as a result, the user can make the pair act as two separate controllers when needed. However, the separate Joy-Cons’ small design may frustrate some users. Additionally, there is the issue known as Joy-Con drift which has resulted in a class-action lawsuit against Nintendo. For these reasons, some Switch owners might find an accessory like the Esywen wireless controller is a better option for them.
Then there's the classic GameCube controller. The GameCube controller is a fan-favorite and likely to specifically appeal to any veteran Super Smash Bros. players. Furthermore, there's an assortment of customized GameCube controllers available as well, although they will further add to the price. On the topic of customized controllers, there is also the PowerA Enhanced Wireless Controller that offers customizable buttons, as well as a graphic design of a popular character or a Master Ball from the Pokémon franchise. Then again, Nintendo also previously released the Poké Ball Plus controller which pairs with the company's Let’s Go series to emulate throwing a real Poké Ball. As an extra bonus, this $50 accessory also offers a real-world application thanks to the ability for users to walk walk around with their favorite Pokémon.
The fun thing about controllers is that they are usually interchangeable and having access to a variety of Nintendo Switch-compatible controllers provides gamers with the option to mix and match as often as they want, or as frequently as they change games. However, the Nintendo Switch Light is a different story altogether. If a Nintendo Switch Lite owner wants to use a controller, rather than the device itself, their best bet is to opt for the 8Bitdo Lite controller, priced at $25.
A few days back, reports emerged that Too Hot to Handle star Harry Jowsey was dating his co-star Madison Wyborny for months after breaking up with his on-screen girlfriend, Francesca Farago. However, the Aussie boy addressed his fling with Madison and claimed that it was nothing more than “friends with benefits.” Madison seems pretty upset with this statement and suggests that the romance between Harry & Francesca is just a PR stunt.
Harry and Francesca met while shooting for the show in April last year but then broke up just after their trip to Harry’s farm in Australia. During a podcast, the 23-year-old model confessed that they broke up “on the worst terms.” They were not agreeing on the same things and had a huge fight. Eventually, the Canadian model decided to go back to Vancouver. After that, they didn’t contact each other until February this year when Harry drunk dialed his ex-girlfriend. They got back together just a few months before the show was supposed to air.
Well, we don't want to jump to any conclusions, but their timing of getting back together does sound fishy. Isn’t it? Elite Daily talked to 21-year-old Madison to know her side to the story, and that’s when she explained, “But he (Harry) was really confiding in me about his girlfriend (Francesca) drama. I think that's just where our relationship kind of blossomed.” She continued, “Considering how negatively he would talk about Francesca to me, I would have never expected he'd get back together with her. So their relationship is 100% for publicity, and it's working.”
Well, if this relationship was just to grow their personal brands, then they have clearly succeeded. Before entering the show, they were established social media influencers on Instagram and were well versed with the promotional tactics to grab and entertain the audience. They might have planned to make the best use of this huge opportunity and monetize it properly. Now, their clothing brands have been getting a lot of attention from the media as well as their target audience. While Farago stands at 4.4 million followers, Harry has a following of 3.7 million. It would help them bag expensive branded deals and modeling gigs.
Indeed, they have been getting more coverage than any of the contestants of the show, after all, they are ones who are still together post-show. Another theory could be that they got together as a business deal and just to take the leverage of a fake relationship but fell in love, which is entirely possible. Regardless, fan would really like to know if the lightning bolts tattoos they got are permanent or the temporary ones? That would automatically answer a lot of speculations.
Too Hot to Handle season 1 is available to stream on Netflix.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Giudice has officially signed a celebrity boxing deal. It seems all of Joe's MMA training will be put to good use.
Joe was married to housewife Teresa Guidice, but all of it changed after time spent behind bars, parents dying, and Joe’s deportation. The U.S. Government delivered its final verdict, denying Joe’s third appeal to return to New Jersey. It is now official that Joe will never be allowed back into the United States and will call Italy his new home. Fans will recall that Joe was born in Italy and moved to the United States when he was a small boy. The contractor never obtained his American citizenship and was deported as a felon.
Juicy Joe is not about to let a government denial stop him from entertaining his followers as he announced he has signed on to step into the boxing ring to fight another celebrity. Page Six confirmed that Giudice had signed with boxing promoter, Damon Feldman, and the reality star’s first fight will take place on October 24 in the Bahamas. Feldman is best known for setting up Saved By the Bell’s Dustin Diamond against Chris Morgan. But the match never happened as Morgan never showed. Joe has been keeping active on Instagram for his fans, showing off himself doing MMA training with his uncle, check out the post below:
Many fans believe that Giudice will be the Mike Tyson of celebrity fighters because he has a lot to prove to not only his family but his followers. The 47-year-old is taking his training very seriously as he used a personal trainer in Italy. Fans are also asking the big question whether any famous faces from New Jersey will make a trip to the islands to watch or of the pandemic will keep them at home. Giudice’s opponent has yet to be named, but the match is set to have three rounds that will be 90 seconds each. Fans will recall the back in September when Giudice announced that he would be training to become a professional MMA fighter. The once overweight and over-indulged Jersey boy has been working on his physique and acquired better eating habits which will hopefully pay off for him in the long run.
According to Giudice himself, he feels better than he did back in his 20’s. But only time will tell if the father of four will be victorious. Fans are dying to know who they pick as his opponent as they hope it is a decent match up of the same caliber.
